Heather is a Philosophy graduate from the University of Leeds and holds a Graduate Diploma in Law. She has worked as both an insurance broker and underwriter across the UK and European markets, with experience supporting a wide range of businesses from start-ups and SMEs to multinational corporations.
Heather joined the travel industry in July 2020, supporting the development and management of travel bond and insurance broking services. Following the acquisition of Cork Bays & Fisher in March 2024, she now leads the CBF broking team, bringing together technical knowledge, operational leadership and a clear focus on practical client outcomes.
Outside work, Heather spends much of her spare time training her black German Shepherd in IGP dog sport, a discipline that combines obedience, tracking and protection work. She also enjoys staying active and being outdoors whenever she can.
Ian has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with a background covering marine, cyber, public liability and wider commercial claims. He joined Cork Bays & Fisher over six years ago and brings a calm, practical approach to helping clients through what can often be difficult and disruptive situations.
One of the things Ian values most about claims is seeing clients recover and move forward after a major loss. Whether supporting a business after a serious fire or helping manage the details behind the scenes, his focus is always on clear communication, practical support and getting clients back on track.
Outside work, Ian enjoys tennis, swimming and following Chelsea FC.
Paul has worked in the travel industry since 1992 and has remained dedicated to the sector ever since. With a background in finance and operations, he has held a range of senior leadership roles and brings deep knowledge of travel regulation, licensing, financial protection and the practical realities of running a travel business.
Paul joined Advantage Travel Centres, the parent company of Cork Bays & Fisher, in 1999. He was appointed Director of the financial services divisions in 2020 and led the acquisition of Cork Bays & Fisher in March 2024.
Outside work, Paul is an avid West Ham United supporter and enjoys golf and running. His proudest achievement is his two daughters, and he is often accompanied by his Shih Tzu, Bobby, named after a West Ham legend.
Ishaan has worked as an insurance broker for over 10 years, with the last eight focused on the UK travel sector. During that time, he has supported businesses of all sizes, from larger corporate clients to SMEs, providing clear advice and practical guidance around their insurance needs.
Ishaan joined Cork Bays & Fisher in 2016 and has continued to grow his portfolio while maintaining a strong client-first approach. He is known for being loyal, transparent and proactive, with a focus on building long-term relationships and delivering the right outcomes.
Outside work, Ishaan is passionate about travel and is a big sports fan, especially football. He also enjoys socialising and wining and dining with friends and colleagues.
Shaun joined Cork Bays & Fisher in August 2022, bringing over 40 years’ experience across personal lines and commercial insurance. Throughout his career, he has supported businesses of all sizes in choosing insurance solutions that protect their operations and support long-term growth.
As a Senior Account Executive, Shaun focuses on building strong relationships with both clients and insurers. He takes pride in providing professional, tailored advice and helping businesses put effective insurance programmes in place around their individual needs.
Outside work, Shaun enjoys taking part in sport, watching football and spending time outdoors on long walks with his wife and their three dogs.
Mandeep has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with a career spanning account broking, underwriting, compliance oversight and operational management. She has worked with a wide range of clients, from SMEs to larger corporate accounts, and brings strong technical knowledge alongside a practical understanding of how insurance businesses operate.
Mandeep joined Cork Bays & Fisher in 2024 and oversees the operational side of the business. Her role focuses on improving efficiency, strengthening processes and supporting continued growth while maintaining high standards of service and regulatory compliance.
Outside work, Mandeep enjoys travelling, experiencing different cultures and spending quality time with her family.
Olga is a Business Finance graduate with a Master’s in Insurance and Risk Management. She has over 20 years’ experience in the commercial insurance sector in London, working both as a broker and Senior Account Handler and supporting a wide range of clients with their insurance needs.
In early 2025, Olga joined Cork Bays & Fisher and now works as part of the broking team. She brings strong commercial insurance experience and a thoughtful, client-focused approach to helping businesses navigate complex requirements with confidence.
Outside work, Olga is kept busy as mum to two girls. When time allows, she enjoys a good book, long walks, travel and any opportunity to find a little sunshine.
Carole joined Cork Bays & Fisher at 16 as an office junior, back when typewriters, carbon paper, fax machines and the dolls-eye switchboard were all part of daily office life. She started in the motor department before being trained in the policy department, where she built her knowledge and experience from the ground up.
As systems changed, Carole was part of the team that helped move work onto CBF’s first computer system. She has remained with the business through Minet, Aon, Vantage Insurance and now Advantage, and has been part of Cork Bays & Fisher for nearly five decades.
Outside work, Carole enjoys theatre trips, caravan breaks around the UK and spending time with her two sons and two cats. She also continues her long-running relationship with Slimming World, though she admits the weight loss part remains a work in progress.
